Comments: One of my goal is to try as many different types of embroidery as possible, so when I saw this little Assisi project on Tanja's website, I decided to give it a go as I thought it would be ideal to finish it as a little pincushion and that is the reason why I kept the finishing very simple. I feel like I can't never have too many pincushions, nor needlebooks.

Comments: When I saw this lovely sampler on Tanja's website, I could not resist. It has such a beautiful lacy effect to it and looks so very elegant. It has been done on an 18-count mono canvas with white perle cotton thread and a few ribbons here and there to really make it look like real lace. This sampler has 25 different patterns.

I could have finished it as a bell pull but decided to have it framed instead.

Comments: I wanted to learn how to embroider using this technique so thought this was a great place to begin learning those skills. Tanja also critique your work when you send her close-up photos, which I think is wonderful.

I have stitched many projects of hers which I will post later and others that are just waiting for me to get to them.

I chose this particular design because it was a starter design and I also love pansies. They are such wonderful flowers. I need to do more thread painting as it makes any design that you stitch look so very natural. Again, this is a technique that the  more you do, the better you get, like most things in life, but not all.
